He went out in a blaze of glory but his spirit lives on…and Green Man would like to say a BIG, BIG thank you to  each and every one of you lovely wonderful people for making his seventh annual summer celebration the most magical yet!

There has never been a bigger, better or more brilliant Green Man and its all down to YOU, the very special folk who make the festival happen.

The sun didn’t stop shining, the line-up rocked and the beautiful Brecon Beacons has never looked more breathtaking as 10,000 like-minded souls made friends and made merry beneath the mystical Black Mountains.

From a superb debut by our Green Poll winners We Aeronauts on Friday to a barnstorming set from the mighty Wilco in Sunday, we have been completely overwhelmed by the sense of fun, festivity, magic and family at Green Man 2009.

He told you there would be fireworks and he didn’t disappoint – whether you were teen or tot, young or young at heart, Welshman, wizard or Wicker Man there were people having their own very special Green Man moments everywhere you looked this weekend.

Was it getting a free lollipop from Jarvis Cocker, waving a big tree branch to British Sea Power, Bella Union’s incredible night with outstanding performances from their artists Vetiver and Andrew Bird, meeting a giant neon blue robot beatbox man, blowing bubbles like your little life depended on it or Gaz Cobain’s 12 hour enlightened curation of the Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind featuring Amorphous Androgynous and the mighty Hawkwind.

Whatever you Green Man moment was – and we know you’ve all got one - we hope you had as much fun as we did…
