Still a Few More Steward Places Left
16/07/08
We have a few last minute spaces left for hardworking enthusiastic people over the age of 18 to be volunteer stewards at the Green Man Festival. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who would like to get involved with the festival and experience what it’s like working behind the scenes. The job of stewarding mainly involves giving information to the public at the event: it’s a really important job because you will be the main point of contact between the festival and the public, so we need lots of happy, smiley people!
This year we have teamed up with the charity People & Planet who will be running the stewarding at the festival.
To find out more or to sign up visit People & Planet or call them on 01865 249 218

Alison O' Donnell of Mellow Candle to perform at this year's Green Man Festival
09/07/08
Well, here's a turn up for the books. Fevered folk enthusiasts and dusty fingered vinyl junkies will already be familiar with Mellow Candle, for those of you who aren't, Mellow Candle's LP 'Swaddling Songs' has long been an elusive holy grail of progressive, psychedelic folk. Now reissued, the LP is getting the attention it deserves, receiving rave reviews from Mojo, Uncut and the Wire. It's truly a lost classic.
Alison O donnell, singer with the band, continues to record and is currently working on an album with Espers' main man, Greg Weeks. In a last minute announcement it transpires that she will be performing with The Owl Service at this year's festival and we here at Green Man couldn't be more happy!
